ABSTRACT
JUSTIFICATIVA E OBJETIVOS: A reduzida compreensão sobre como os portadores do vírus da imunodeficiência humana (HIV) percebem e administram sua sexualidade, limita a abordagem das angústias dessas pessoas no contexto da assistência que recebem. O objetivo do presente estudo foi refletir sobre a sexualidade em portadores do HIV, sistematizando a compreensão desse fenômeno com a intenção de contribuir para o cuidado que se presta a tais indivíduos. CONTEÚDO: Ao decodificar os significados da infecção pelo HIV a partir do conceito de normalidade sexual, descrevem-se representações da sexualidade que interessam aos portadores desse vírus. Tais representações imputam a esses sujeitos um estigma definidor de uma anormalidade perniciosa que os oprime existencialmente a ponto de obrigá-los a mobilizar diversos mecanismos de defesa. As reflexões produzidas dizem respeito a portadores do HIV nas seguintes categorias: com parceria sexual estável, mulheres, heterossexuais, profissionais do sexo e homens que fazem sexo com homens. CONCLUSÃO: Nesse estado de anormalidade sexual ocorrem dificuldades na relação da pessoa com sua genitalidade, repercutindo em sua convivência sexual e social. Esse fenômeno varia dependendo da orientação e formas de parceria sexual, gênero e percepções relacionadas à sexualidade. O conflito não pode ser dissuadido pelo tratamento antiretroviral, uma vez que esse recurso garante uma saúde física mantenedora do desejo sexual. Na tentativa de realização desse desejo, a pessoa experimenta sobre frustração. Afinal, não eliminando o vírus do organismo, o estigma da perniciosidade sexual se mantém, expressando-se e sendo reforçado pela própria tentativa de gratificação do desejo.
BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES: The reduced understanding about as the carriers human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) perceives and manages its sexuality limits the abordage of the anguish of these people in the context of the assistance that receive. The objective of the present study went to reflect about the sexuality in HIV carriers, in order systemize the understanding of this phenomenon with the intention to contribute for the process of care to these people. CONTENTS: When decoding the meanings of the HIV infection from the concept of sexual normality, are described representations of the sexuality that interest the carriers of this virus. Such representations impute to these people a defining stigma of a pernicious abnormality that oppresses them in his existence to the point to compel them to mobilize diverse mechanisms of defense. The produced reflections say respect to the HIV carries in the following categories:with steady sexual partnership, women, heterosexuals, sex workers and men who make sex with men. CONCLUSION: In that state of sexual abnormality they happen difficulties in the relation of the person with its genitality resoundingin its sexual and social sociability. This phenomenon varies dependingon the orientation and forms of sexual partnership, gender and perceptions related to the sexuality. The conflict from there generated cannot be dissuaded by the antiretroviral treatment, a time that this resource guarantees a physical health maintainer of the sexual desire. In the attempt of accomplishment of this desire, the person tries overfrustration. After all, not eliminating the virus of the organism, the stigma of the sexual perniciousity if keeps, expressing themselves and being strengthened for the proper attempt of gratuity of the desire.
